The Club is unique in that it is situated in a bend at the 'Top of the River'. Thanks to the Fremantle Doctor sea breeze, the breeze during the Summer Season regularly picks up to a top of a stiff 18-25 knots -- making for some wet'n'wild fun rides, not to mention pretty exciting racing! Combine that with one of the most historic yacht clubs in Western Australia, the picturesque vista of the Swan River and the bucolic backdrop of Bardon Park and you would be hard-pressed to find a more magical and affordable spot to get in on some laser sailing action.

To stimulate the community and make Australia's most successful sport of sailing more accessible to a wider audience has long been a key vision and as such The Club is renowned for offering an extensive training program throughout the summer season for small children and adults alike. Conditions throughout the Twilight and Winter Series are generally a lot kinder and great for beginners.
